The thinly sliced pork belly with garlic sauce (蒜泥白肉) was by far my favorite dish–the fat to meat ratio was perfect and the chili oil/minced garlic concoction makes the trek to Flushing worth it.
3 Cup Chicken (三杯鸡) originates from Southern China and is extremely popular in Taiwan. This dish’s name refers to the three sauces needed (soy sauce, rice wine, and sesame oil). It is cooked and often served in a clay pot, arriving as the chicken is still sizzling. Nom nom nom.
If you haven’t had pig’s ear (猪耳朵), you are missing out. This particular dish is a little spicy since it’s cooked with chili paste. It’s flavorful and the texture is both crunchy and soft.
Update: Sadly, this place is closed. Just enjoy the photos while I search for more Taiwanese places to fill your tummy.
